Mother Nature dealt Southwest Florida a difficult hand this past week. We were more fortunate than most. My husband and I are exhausted and still more than a little shaken up, but we weathered the storm and are now working toward reestablishing equilibrium. For many, the single night of terror will be followed by a year or more of recovery, and as a survivor of Hurricane Andrew I can say from experience that the recovery can and will kill you. Keep Florida in your hearts and prayers for the long run.
