Lisa's summer missive arrived in Peacthree City today painting visceral imagery, both literally and metaphorically, of her summer hours biking and gardening in the Wisconsin countryside; accompanied by one of her exquisite soldered relics. This one contains the essence of some of her garden flowers and a milkweed seed, attached to driftwood from the lakeshore. In her summer offering she included stories and samples of seeds from the garden and those shed by the trees.

Lisa,
A belated thank you for the lovely fall offerings. I have your summer bug and fall flower/seed ornaments hanging beside my computer in my studio. So enjoyed opening and savoring all the goodies in your autumn package.
Sincerely,
Anne Cook

Goodness, the package made its way to your home very quickly! I just mailed them out on Thursday. Glad you enjoyed the offerings. I had a lot of fun pounding flowers this summer. My neighbor's husband was really curious about what the heck I was building until his wife explained the artful purpose of my noise.
I forgot to label the seeds I enclosed at the last minute - cedar branch with tiny cones and box elder whilygigs similar to the maple seeds in case anyone is keeping track of those things.
The trees are really starting to turn into the yellows, reds and orange colors of October. Dennis and I had a lovely car trip today to visit the local art studios that were opened to the public and also get to the apple orchard and cheese factory for some of Wisconsin's finest offerings! mmmmmm hickory nut muenster cheese and honey crisp apples for dinner tonight!

Greetings Lisa,
I am enjoying perspectives of summer from your part of the country and how it differs and is similar to what I am experiencing here in the south. I never thought about how closely tied to the change of seasons seeds are, but as I took your missive outdoors for a photo session the ground was sprinkled in all sorts of acorns from the many oaks we have in our yard. Thank you for sharing. ~ Catherine
